Our commitment to making FilterTested accessible to all readers, regardless of ability or assistive technology.
FilterTested is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to achieve this goal. Our target is conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Conformance target: WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort and are continually seeking solutions that will bring all areas of our site to the same level of overall web accessibility.
We have implemented the following accessibility features across FilterTested to make our content usable for the widest possible audience:
All interactive elements on our site — including navigation menus, links, buttons, and forms — are fully operable using a keyboard alone. You can navigate through the site using the Tab key and activate elements with Enter or Space.
A "Skip to main content" link is available at the top of every page. Keyboard users can immediately jump past repetitive navigation elements to the primary content of the page.
Meaningful images across our content include descriptive alternative (alt) text that conveys the purpose and content of the image to screen reader users. Decorative images use empty alt attributes so they are ignored by assistive technologies.
We use semantic HTML5 elements and ARIA landmarks to help assistive technologies understand page structure. This includes proper use of <header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>, and <section> elements, along with descriptive labels for navigation regions.
Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio requirements. Our primary text color (#2d3748) on white (#ffffff) provides a contrast ratio of approximately 11:1, well above the 4.5:1 minimum for normal text.
All interactive elements display a visible focus indicator when navigated via keyboard. This ensures users who cannot use a mouse can always see which element has focus.
Our site respects the prefers-reduced-motion media query. Users who have enabled reduced motion in their operating system or browser settings will see minimal or no animation.
Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following standards and regulations:
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility across FilterTested, there are some limitations we are actively working to address:
